Summary of Team

The Global Marketing and Communications (GMC) department includes the marketing, communications, editorial, design, digital, social media, and content project management teams.  We proudly transform Catalyst’s cutting-edge research into reports, workshops, and other knowledge products that our Supporters and the public engage with on their journey to create more inclusive workplace cultures. It is our mission to amplify our efforts to increase awareness and visibility.

 

Summary of Responsibilities

The Creative Operations Project Manager is an internal client-facing role responsible for supporting GMC Creative Operations in efficiently and effectively implementing production operations to ensure timely execution of deliverables for organization-wide internal customers, including building project schedules; project management, progress monitoring, and other operations support functions as assigned. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual interested in content production, project management, and creative team operations.  

 

The responsibilities will also include the following:


  • Accountability for being aware of and involved in project leveling and ensuring all initiatives support the Learning Advisory Services (LAS) and Community & Convening (C&C) departments and overall strategy.
  • Responsibility for workflows across select campaigns and projects, including managing internal teams to deliver top-quality work on time and on budget based on department priorities and managing department expectations as needed.
  • Predicting resources needed to reach objectives, and managing resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Developing and managing detailed project schedules and work plans.
  • Providing project management support for translation processes, including building translation projects, requesting quotes, tracking budget and invoices, and monitoring project progress.
  • Providing project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Utilizing industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project management execution.
  • Monitoring progress, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Measuring project performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Anticipating and resolving internal roadblocks as identified, and utilizing the support of the leadership team as needed.
  • Contributing to keeping internal training documents and processes up to date.
  • Ensuring all communication with departments are clearly documented and action items are defined for the team. This includes taking notes in LAS and C&C meetings and following up with takeaways.
  • Assisting with meeting scheduling, basic presentations, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

 

  Education, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience at a marketing agency or client-side marketing department.
  • The ability to manage projects and tasks via cross-team collaboration and organization to accomplish Catalyst goals.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools (Asana), methodologies, and best practices as well as with Microsoft Office 365 productivity suite.
  • Comfort with Word Press and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • Experience seeing projects through the full project life cycle.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with different people and work styles.
  • Superior organizational and verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to assess situations and proactively apply solutions-oriented problem-solving to manage competing workflow priorities on multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequent unexpected demands.
  • Experience collaborating with global remote and distributed project teams using communications, scheduling, and other productivity application technology.
  • Strong internal customer orientation and commitment to respond to requests quickly, completely, transparently, and inclusively.
  • Service-oriented listener who can process information and either respond directly or appropriately escalate to GMC Director of Operations.
  • Ability to represent the GMC Director of Operations and GMC generally by maintaining a high level of professionalism, poise, tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Digital and creative services content production (blogs, social media, marketing, and public relations) experience preferred.
